Mapping – X Marks The Spot

Before you go hunting down headstones, you must know how to get to the cemetery and then you must know where to go in the cemetery.

In Hunting – Finding Their Locations I give helpful hints to help you find the burial plots.

I have acquired many maps of Western Michigan cemeteries.  Since I visit them frequently, I quickly got tired of printing a map, marking the locations of plots, and then throwing the map away when I was done.

I developed a method to re-use the maps, putting each map in a separate plastic sheet protector that allows me to circle the plots with a china marker and then erase the marker and use the maps over and over again.
